Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Welcome to ChemLab. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully — they explain your rights and responsibilities when using ChemLab.

1. Who we are

ChemLab ("we", "us") is a study and productivity assistant for chemistry and STEM students. The service is available at chemlab-assistant.com.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use ChemLab.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use ChemLab to violate any law or your school's academic integrity policy
  • Submit other people's work as your own using our outputs
  • Attempt to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share
  • Use the service to generate harmful, infringing, or deceptive content

See our Academic Integrity page for more on how to use AI-generated content responsibly.

4. AI-generated content

ChemLab uses AI to draft lab reports, quizzes, flashcards, and answers. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying anything you submit for a course or publish.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at our contact page if something went wrong.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload and the reports you generate. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content so we can provide the service to you. We don't use your private content to train models.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer

ChemLab is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated content will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you. Continued use of ChemLab after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
